See how many strangers are reaching your Gmail.
Continue with Google for a one-minute unknown-sender report. KeepKnown checks sender metadata and contacts only: no message bodies, no inbox changes, no credit card.
Metadata scope only. The audit cannot archive, label, delete, or send email. Read our Zero-Noise Manifesto
What the audit shows
A private snapshot of who is actually reaching your Gmail inbox.
Ghost Audit gives you a fast Gmail unknown sender report before you install a filter. The scan uses sender headers and contacts, then shows aggregate counts you can act on.
Outsider volume
Unknown sender count
See how many recent Gmail messages came from people outside your contacts.
Source patterns
Top outsider domains
Identify the domains adding the most non-contact mail to your inbox.
Attention cost
Time debt estimate
Translate outsider volume into a simple estimate of the review time being lost.
Privacy boundary
No message bodies
KeepKnown does not need email body content to measure known versus unknown senders.
Before you change Gmail filters
Use the audit to see whether the inbox problem is unknown senders.
Gmail filters are useful when you already know the sender, keyword, label, or category rule you want. Ghost Audit answers the question Gmail does not show directly: how much recent mail is coming from senders outside Google Contacts.
Unknown sender audit
Count non-contact senders before you build more Gmail rules or start blocking messages manually.
Gmail filter cleanup
If the audit shows the problem is sender volume, use a contact-based gate instead of maintaining dozens of fragile sender filters.
No destructive changes
The audit cannot archive, label, delete, or send mail. Automatic filtering starts only if you choose to connect KeepKnown after the report.

Audit FAQ
- What does Ghost Audit read?
- Ghost Audit checks Gmail message metadata, the sender header, and your Google Contacts to count known versus unknown senders. It does not read message bodies.
- Does KeepKnown store my audit data?
- No. The audit calculates your report in memory and clears the temporary audit credentials after the report runs.
- Will Ghost Audit modify my inbox?
- No. The audit requests Gmail metadata access, not Gmail modify access, so it cannot label, archive, delete, or send messages.
- What happens after the audit?
- You get an invasion score, the number of outsider emails found, and the top outsider domains. If you want automatic filtering, you can start a KeepKnown trial.
